What I'm loving this month

What I'm loving this month

There are so many reasons I get excited about the start of autumn. Of course there’s the beautiful late summer sunshine to sit in and enjoy, and the way it bathes everything in a soft light. There’s also a slight nip in the air, which is lovely and refreshing after a hot summer and means a great excuse for finding warm and cosy knitwear long lost in your wardrobes or taking a peek at the stores to indulge in some new clothes. Muddy puddles, the smell of bonfires, discovering the fun of conkers again with my son, open fires, hot sweet tea… the list goes on. And let’s not forget the fact that Christmas will soon be here! (There, I’ve said it. Yes, I know it’s ‘only’ October, but don’t be a bah humbug!)

In homewares, it’s also the time that big highstreet brands release new catalogues and showcase their winter ranges. There is so much to ‘oooh’ and ‘aaahhh’ at over this year. I’m like a kid in a sweet shop and want to have a bit of everything and gobble it up all in one go! But, restraining myself and taking a little step back I’ve found some crackers and want to share these all with you.

Here is what’s on my autumn wish list….

1) Evelyn Cloche Table Lamp
Marks & Spencer have set the bar high. If you've not had the chance to leaf through their Home catalogue I urge you to do so. There are some gorgeous items and I could list many. One that instantly caught my eye was this table lamp. Go buy, before it gets snapped up!

The Evelyn Cloche Table Lamp is so cool! It manages to look industrial as well as refined and would be a great addition to your home.

2) Twin Tone Tweed Cushions

These twin tone cushions from Lane are a sure way to brighten up any winter evening. They're made from luxurious Scottish wool and look fantastic.

3) Umbra Prisma Mirror
Clean lines, geometric pattern and in copper - what's not to love?

Amara has this desirable Umbra Prisma mirror in brass and black also, though copper is by far my favourite.

4) Poppy Field Rug

Delicate colours of grey, pink and duck-egg help to make this Poppy Field Rug from French Connection a real winner. It is hand dyed and so each rug is unique.

Is there anything you're currently coveting? I'd love to see your home wish lists or recent purchases! Please do share so that we can all drool over them...
